The RFF is partnering with the
Future Farmers of America (FFA) to support the establishment of a Renewable Energy Learning Center. Through this partnership, the RFF and FFA seek to:
- Provide resources to students and teachers to support instruction around the science business and technology of renewable energy in agriculture and beyond.
- Establish a systematic approach to build a future workforce prepared to be a part of the renewable energy industry.
- Create a more informed public that understands and is aware of the science, business and environmental benefits of renewable energy technologies.
To meet these objectives, with the help of RFF, FFA will:
- Develop 90 hours of academically sound classroom-ready instructional materials.
- Build highly-interactive self-paced distance-ready modules for students.
- Deliver through the Ag Ed Learning Campus and other websites, proven to reach teachers.
- Train teachers to integrate and infuse the instructional resources and self-paced modules in their classroom.
- Interdisciplinary outreach to the general science academic community.
- Public and media relations.
RFF will continue to provide additional information as the program is implemented. We encourage you to check back frequently for updates.
